That Ugly Old Tree


From out of the ether it came to mind, a phrase of sorts I surmise. It demands attention to four short words, “that ugly old tree.” These jousts with meaning always begin as foggy notions resisting all efforts to ignore them – at least until respected with fingers on the keyboard.

What is the meaning of “that ugly old tree?” These annoying words and phrases always turn out to be metaphorical which eliminates that weather-damaged juniper tree in my back yard. So, what has been weighing on my mind lately?

Biden’s cauldron of corruption threatens to overflow


So the Durham Report came out recently and it confirmed every dotted “I” and crossed “T” that the Democrats and their press lackeys have long-insisted was a conspiracy theory was true.

Old School Republicans


I have a number of friends I’ll refer to as old school Republicans. One was once the chair of a state Republican Party, one worked in the administration of a popular Republican president, one is a Republican Elector, and others have worked inside the Republican Party machine for various politicians. They have a problem that is no doubt common with old school Republicans all over America. I think people like Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and other Republican pundits are part of the old school Republican mind set.

Net Zero Watch says Bank of England has been distracted


London, 30 May - Campaigning group Net Zero Watch has strongly criticised the Bank of England for wasting time on Net Zero virtue signalling.

It has been reported today that the Bank has spent £150,000 on an inconclusive study on the carbon footprint of its banknotes.
